And there is no comparison other than SAPs composable AI architecture is unrivalled in terms of scope and business value proposition.
The value for mid-tier organisations embracing "Grow with SAP" is not simply a best of breed SaaS ERP solution, its actually their entry into the wider SAP ecosystem and access to the extensive SAP composable cloud product portfolio including composable PaaS (BTP).
So it goes without saying that the next release of SAP S/4HANA public cloud will have GenAI built in, enabling mid market organisations to automate and optimise.
I would recommend mid-tier CIOs take a look at the AI built into the wider SAP cloud product portfolio, essentially process and industry plug and play enablers (micro services, see below)
For those new to the SAP ecosystem, SAP are AI pioneers, what we are seeing today isn't SAPs first step into AI, SAP have actually been leading the way since 2017 and the launch of its "Leonardo" AI product range built into the BTP PaaS offering. I myself completed SAP RPA (Robotic Process Automation), machine learning and AI with big data sets back in 2021, plus have dabbled with AI enabled microservices.
So SAP ERP and the wider SAP cloud product range already have AI / ML capabilities readily available for consumption, so the addition of GenAI simply enhances and accelerates the value organisations can derive from their SAP investment.

SAP last week published its 🤖AI roadmap / 🗺️ release strategy.
The ERP S/4 AI offering will continue to be drip fed into both Public and private cloud editions to enable sustainable adoption by customers as well as the continued controlled addition of AI capability across the wider cloud portfolio and built into the SAP Business Technology.

When to jump to SAP ?
This clear AI release strategy helps fix the problem of when the mid-tier should jump into SAP S/4HANA, basically whenever your ready, because SAP have over the last 50 years demonstrated that a consistent release strategy enables organisations to set the pace for change. With the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud SaaS solution the tech pain of adoption is taken away enabling the customer to focus on constant digital kaizen, driving tangible rabid benefit realisation.
The S/4HANA Public cloud release due in Feb 24 will include more GenAI and we have been allowed access to some of the new innovation planned for next year which we know will further enable data and analytics for the mid-tier.
